Why a Red Door?

The concept of the red door appears in many different cultures' oral and folk traditions.

It is believed that by entering a building with a red door one will be protected from various evils. The Celtic traditions believe in protection from the spirits, and biblical tales tell of safety from death.

By utilizing the red door as a theatre company, we are free to explore pieces important to us without fear or risk. In other words, the red door serves as a figurative theatrical sanctuary.
