Kate Erin Gibson
A 2004 graduate of New York University's Steinhardt program in Musical Theatre Vocal Performance (M.A.), Kate Erin has been actively performing, directing and producing since 1993. Recently spending a year in Pennsylvania, Kate Erin worked extensively with youth and community performers, building awareness and interest in the artform at the public, private, and homeschool areas are education. In addition to teaching, Kate Erin has performed with The Actor's Company at the Fulton (Secret Garden), Queens Shakespeare (Macbeth), The Main Street Theatre (Steven Deitz's Painting It Red), ArtsPower National Touring Theatre (Four Score and Seven Years Ago), The Eichelberger Performing Arts Center (My Fair Lady) and The Village Light Opera Group (Pajama Game and The Yeomen of the Guard). Kate Erin also had the priviledge of creating the role of Zelda Sayre Fitzgerald in Colette Silvestri's new musical Zelda, about the lives of Mr. and Mrs. F. Scott Fitzgerald. Directing credits include Danny and the Deep Blue Sea, Bye, Bye, Birdie, Harvey, Love's Fire: 140, and the world premiere of Richard Flynn's The Choir Loft.
Recently, Kate Erin participated in Master Classes with Michele Pawk, Bill Irwin, Bernard Telsey, Karen Ludwig, Don Greene, Wayne Cilento and Christopher Seiber, as part of the New School for Drama's Summer Immersion Program.
Kate Erin is a very proud member of Actors' Equity Association.
